API for PO receiving

Hi Guru's

Can we use the following two API's for updating the corresponding Oracle base tables directly ?

 RCV_SHIPMENT_HEADERS_PKG

RCV_SHIPMENT_LINES_PKG

I could not find any information about them anywhere on Metalink. so any information on their usage would be highly appreciated.
