Add Value feild in the Inter Org form

hi Experts, hope you all ok i just wanted to know the basics behind the Add Value field in the Inter Org form ..... It is mandatory field and therefoe me wanted to know its possible impact ?? as for as my personal knowledge is concern it describe the extra value that incurred in that transfer ??
