iRecruitment - Notification when candidate apply for a job

Hello,

I understand that from 12.1.1 onwards candidates will not get any notification, when they apply for a job.

Is there any way to send the notification to candidates when they apply for a job? I saw a note in the Oracle support ID 605603.1 for this but it doesn't explain in detail as to how we can enable this notification.
