Installation question - running root.sh too late

edited Jan 3, 2013 4:56PM in Database Install/Upgrade/Opatch (MOSC) 6 commentsAnswered ✓
I was installing Oracle database software via dbca and at the end of the installation it asked me to run /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/root.sh as the root user.  I clicked on "Close" button to finish the installation and then ran /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/root.sh as the root user.

And based on the installation document I was using, one supposed to first run root.sh and AFTER that click on the "Close" button.

Could that be a problem that I completed installation BEFORE running the root.sh? What are the possible consequences?

Howdy, Stranger!
