Should we Upgrade the 10.1.3 Tech Stack to 10.1.3.5 Prior to the R12.1 Upgrade?

Can we Upgrade 10.1.3 to 10.1.3.5 prior to R12 Upgrade or should that be taken after R12 Upgrade

We are upgrading EBS from 11i to R12 ( 12.1.3 ).

As part of upgrade, we are installing the R12 Upgrade Tech stack.

We currently have 10.1.3 & 10.1.2 Oracle Home.
Can we upgrade 10.1.3 to 10.1.3.5 prior to upgrade or should we upgrade the EBS then upgrade the tech stack?
