how to mass update item status through item interface table?

 Hi,
I want to mass update item status in special organization,for example, i want to change item status code from 'Active' to 'Inactive', can you advise the detail solution? If we need to load in related interface table first, pls tell me which interface table and item information need to insert, thanks.
