Misc invoice lines not interfacing

I read all the criteria for interfacing invoice lines to FA  - what about if the lines are Misc type?  I am finding those lines are not interfacing.  The Track as Asset button is not populated for these lines.  Is this a setup feature?  Is there a reason you can't use that type?
