Oracle Apex for developing Custom Application

Hi,

We have a requirement where in we need to develop custom application using Oracle APEX.

Its a application which should support the procure to pay cycl.

that i.

1) We need to beable to give them a form for creating requisitions

 and this requisition should be routed to their managers for aprroval.

M Questions:

With APEX can i send some notifcations for approvals from my manager.

Something like notifications supporrted in Oracle EBS.

IF this is not achievable can you share some points on how to develop o send mails using APEX.
