How To Send E-mails from WebCenter Sites Over SSL/TLS

in Oracle WebCenter Sites (MOSC)
Currently it's not possible to configure Oracle WebCenter Sites to send e-mails such as work-flow or publishing e-mails over anything other than standard SMTP. However, that doesn't mean you can't use e-mails at all if your company's mail server doesn't allow SMTP.
A relatively simple work-around is to set up a mail server on the Sites server that only accepts mails from localhost. Configure Sites to use that mail server, and configure the mail server to forward all mails to the company server over the required protocol.
