ASO cube filed question

Hi Everyone,

We have an ASO cube that has a text field that stores a value as such  20090101.  This is the way it is stored in Essbase however when we access the cube using Financial Reports we really would like to display formatted as 01/01/2009. 

I know there is probably a way to create a formula within Financial reports however that would cause lots of extra formatting work as we will be re-directing existing reports to the reporting cube.

Is there a way to reformat the value mentioned within the ASO cube?  For example could we add an additional column to the cube and reformat the value to the new field so when we link existing reports to the cube we could pull the new field that would display the values as 01/01/2009?
