Mass Retirements - Full and Partial retirements

Hi Friends,

We are on 11i. My question is can we build the Mass Retirements API to process Full Retirements and Partial Retirements with the option of units or cost retired? To be more clear - Our users have a huge number of assets to be retired where some of them have to be fully retired and some with partial retirements. In partial retirements we have two scenarios -1)Where asset has 10 units and we retire 6 units 2)Where asset has 1 unit and we need to enter cost retired to partially retire the asset.

If this cannot be done by the retirement API, is there any other way we can achieve this goal?
