Things to check: When Not able to run UBE using iASP (Independent auxiliary storage pool ) with E1

in CNC, DB and Operating System - JDE1 (MOSC)

We have come across a few occasions where sites are not able to run UBE after setting up E1 with i5/OS iASP (Independent auxiliary storage pool ). The JDE.LOG on the Enterprise server would show:

OS400QL0010 - ConnectDB:RDB Name passed from 'DB SYSTEM SETTINGS' 'Library List' section in the jde.ini or from F98611.OMLL is Blank Or Null for datasource 'SERVERNAME - 900 Server Map'
OS400QL017 - PrepareAndOrDescribe:Prepare failed. QSQLMSG   *LIBL      - SQL0204 - &1 in &2 type *&3 not found

So, what causes this error ?

The answer is that when the [DB SYSTEM SETTINGS] enableIASP statement is enabled in JDE.INI  ( enableIASP = 1),  all iSeries specific Data Sources
