GL Conversion

 Hi All,
We are doing GL conversion from 11i to R12 and we want to convert the opening balances for Jan-13 and the PTD activity for Jan-13.  What should be the criteria to extract the opening balances?

How can a technical person can look into the opening balances and extract it to load into R12 instance.
