What's the minimal hardware threads for a reasonable ZFS experience
OK I know ZFS runs even on the simplest dual-core chip. But usually ZFS creates more than a hundred threads on SDC scheduling class.
That means that any "demanding" data or metadata operations will trash on a rather lengthy and slow operation.
Can I conclude from the above that ZFS in production is practical only on powerful machines with over 100 hardware cores, unless perhaps the data is more read then written?
Thanks in advance.
