Finacial period changes and its impact on inventory

Has anyone worked on a business case where there is a requirement to change the financial reporting periods. We are currently on Calender months and would be moving to reporting based on 4 weeks-4weeks-5weeks cycle. Wanted to know the impact n As-of especially.
