Database files on ACFS?

 Can database files reside on ACFS? ACFS is a cluster file system on top of ASM. I just finished the search for the right kernel and now I have GI running and the ACFS modules loaded. The scenario is as follows:  there is a RAC database (11.2.0.3, 64 bit on OL 6.3) and the idea is to maintain the backup copy of the database so that in case of a problem it would be possible to either switch files or the entire database.  This copy of the database would then be backed up to tapes, for safekeeping.  I suggested a
