Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 Windows ASM does not see ISCSI LUN after diskgroup dismount and storage array roll

We have a single instance Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 ASM database running on Windows 2008 R2. It is using a single diskgroup that contains an ISCSI LUN provided by a Sun ZFS Storage Appliance. We have created a snpshot of this LUN as an on-disk backup of the database. The snapshot was created by shutting down the database, dismounting the diskgroup, snapshotting the LUN, remounting the diskgroup and restarting the database. We attempt to restore the database by shutting down the database, dismounting the diskgroup, rolling back the LUN, re-mounting the diskgroup and re-starting the database. The failure occurs during the re-mounting
