Siebel 8.1.1.9 / Connected Mobile Apps on iPad -> Date Picker Wrong Date Format?

Hi All,
anyone played around with connected mobile apps alredy?
One of the first issues I encountered is with the date pickers. I've set the server's time zone and regional settings to German/Germany. The date format would be dd.mm.yyyy

Let's take the "CG Outlet Visit Activities List View - Mobile" which displays a date picker on top to select the desired day for displaying Calls.
The format shown in the application is "01/11/2013" for today, so I assume it's mm/dd/yyyy
OK this does not correspond to the system settings, but that's not the issue. The real issue arises when you try to chose another date ... the date picker of jQueryMobile will show you "11/01/2013" (which then seems to be
