Upgrading from OSM 6.3 to OSM 7.2
We are planning on moving from OSM 6.3 to OSM 7.2. We would like to know the upgrade options that we have keeping in mind that we would also like to migrate even in-flight orders(In-progress) that are currently in Production. We came across 2 knowledge articles but the facts stated are conflicting.

The OSM 7.2 installation guide even speaks of first importing the OSM database schema from 6.2 database into 7.2 11g Release 2 and the running the installer. I am assuming schema export includes the cartridge model along with order data. What we are concerned is, after the installer has run and upgraded the OSM schema, what will happen to the old orders. We know that 6.3 cartridge will not work as it is and will need retro-fitting. If we succeed on doing that & re-deploy to conform to OSM 7.2 standards, will OSM be able to process the old orders?
