RMAN restoring from disk with a TDP backupset
Hi,
We are using RMAN and tdp for our Oracle db backup, sending all the backups to tape.
We want to restore onto a server on a site where there is no TSM server setup, only a TSM client with a tape drive.
My question is:
Could we produce a copy of the backup tape with TSM client. This tape will contains all the backupsets.
then we will send this tape to the new site and with the command "restore backupset " of dsmc, we restore all backupset to disk on the new server.
then , with RMAN, could we restore the Oracle database from these backupsets that are now all on disk ?
