Samba 3.6.6 (shipped with Solaris 11.1) bound to AD + getent group issues

 Hi all.
So, I finally managed to bind Solaris 11.1 to an active directory domain. Massive struggles just to get that far, but I did it.

After several days MORE of battles, and rationalising that I cannot use CIFS for what I want to do because it's now completely and implicitly tied to ZFS for all it'a ACL and Windows interoperability work, (and I need to share out QFS/SAM-FS filesystems), I decided to use Samba as shipped with Solaris 11.1. So - before we go any further, I did a lot of reading. Turns out SAM-QFS has no ephemeralID support for CIFS and it's classed as an "unsupported" configuration. Samba is supported, however!
