Can't get the repository for Database Control to properly rebuild. Script constantly aborts

My problem is that I can't get EM Database Control to work because I can't properly rebuild its repository. Everytime I run emca to recreate the repository I get script error messages complaining about the inability to create a PUBLIC SYNONYM.  If I go and find that object and delete it, and anything else created, I'll run the script a second time, and it will get just a little bit further before it run into another attempt to create an object that already exists.

My database is 11g Release 2 and I'm running it on a laptop PC running Windows7 Home Premium. I've deleted the sysman user and a couple of other objects based on what I found on the web.  But I still get errors.  BTW, 512 objects have an INVALID status in my database.

Howdy, Stranger!
