Discrete Work Order Start Date and MinMax

Hi

We are on 11.5.10.2 and trying to create work orders using minmax.   If we have demand 5-day out in the furture, we would like the start date (or completion date) to show 5-days out.  Can anyone shed light on to how the start date is derived?  Currently it only shows the sysdate when the process runs.
