We have:

OSB 11.1.1.4

WLS 10.3.4

java version "1.6.0_22"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_22-b04)
Oracle JRockit (build R28.1.1-14-139783-1.6.0_22-20101206-0241-linux-ia32, compiled mode)

/software/bea/osb/11.1.1.4/jrockit_160_22_D1.1.1-3/bin>file java
java: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.2.5, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.2.5, not stripped

We are using 32bit JAVA on 1 64bit OEL 5u3. If we use 64 bit JAVA, what are the benefits? What are the limitations of 32bit JAVA(for example with 32 bit JAVA, we cannot map more than 3Gb of JVM heap size of managed server) etc.

Howdy, Stranger!
