SR Opened and Closed by date formatting

How do we change the 'opened by' and 'closed by' dates so that they display the day/month/year? I just noticed that when reviewing the history of an SR, it states " opened 18 days ago" or updated 2 hours ago. This is of no value for tracking purposes.
