When you inquire on a supplier in the 1099 Adjustments program, why does the system display the Social Security Number (SSN) in the Tax ID field (TIN) with dashes in the wrong place?

The value of the Person/Corporation Code field (TAXC) determines how the system formats the tax ID number on the 1099 Adjustments screen:

  • If the Person/Corporation Code is N, the system displays the tax ID in an EIN format (XX-XXXXXXX).
  • If the Person/Corporation Code is P, the system displays the tax ID in the SSN format (XXX-XX-XXXX).

Change the value of the Person/Corporation Code field for the supplier to P.

Howdy, Stranger!
