how to get EXCEL output from UI for Oracle report

Hi Everyone,

I am newbie in Oracle Reporting. I am using 10g. I have an rdf which gives excellent pdf output but when I give DESFORMAT=SPREADSHEET and run in UI it is giving Excel output with unwanted columns, blank cells, unaligned column names etc., making report ugly. I tried to search many forums and solution was not available anywhere. Can someone help me out in this.

Can sombody suggest me any documentation containing step by step information in completing this task.. Its an high priority issue.
