item managed with length, width, and height in JDE

Hi,
Is there a way to manage item which have length, width, and height in JDE 8.12 ? Wihtout using the configurator module. 
I would like to enter a sales order for this item, enter length, width, and heigh, and after have the system calculates the quanity ordered automatically = length x width x height x qty of pieces. But i don't want to use the configurator module.
