Clearing old reversing journals

Is there a way to clear old reversing journals that are no longer required?  We have about 20 old reversing journals that I want to clear from Oracle.  Most of them are from prior years and only a few are from 2012 (for these we have made correcting entries).

For example, I enter a journal in January and set it to reverse in February.  The journal in January is posted.  The journal set to reverse in February is still out there ready to be generated to reverse.  Once I do the process to generate the reversal, it creates an unposted journal for the month we set it to reverse.
