How is the LOV for buyers defined in the Default Buyer 'field' under 'Purchasing Tab for Master Item

How is the LOV for buyers defined in the ' Default Buyer'  field under 'Purchasing Tab' for Master Item ( Menu under Purchasing responsibility ).

I am asking this question because I cannot find my name in this Buyer LOV even though I am defined as a buyer. Do you know if there is any sort of criteria/condition which may be the reason why I am not in this Buyer's LOV even though I am  a buyer. I can see all other users defined as buyers in this LOV. I am able to create requisition and Puchase Orders. So I am definitely setup as a Buyer.
