Why is cls_services.pl running so many times?

Hello everyone,

I have a test system that is a 2 node RAC with 11.2.0.1 on redhat 5.1 (there are only 14 databases on this system)

My linux admin is concerned about the 70+ entries for the cls_services.pl script in a "ps -ef | grep oracle" report.  Most are from 2012 but a few are from Jan.

I know the script is for srvctl command but why is it running constantly?

It is running out of /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/sysman/admin/scripts/rac/cls_services.pl

Can someone please shed some light on why there are so many running?
