Reconciling the AP Trade Account to the Ap Subledger

Helo all

Can anyone outline the steps including the data selection with which to run the open AP summary report in order to get it to tie to the AP trade at monthend. We are a new install and are not sure of the steps we have been trying but cannot get it to tie so far
