unable to communicate with bip server

Hi All,
Urgently need all your suggestion on this.

1. can we call BIP stand alone server from weblogic server installed on linux machine
2. we have obiee 10.1.3.4.1 server installed on linux also, we tried to call this bip server from weblogic but still no luck.

for both scenario done changes in fcubs.properties file to pick the bip server.

any suggestion will be of great help.
