Why am I receiving the message 00000 companies updated when trying to move my companies to the new y

Q - Why am I receiving the message 00000 companies updated when trying to move my companies to the new year with the close period – multiple companies program (P00101)?

A -The beginning fiscal date field in the close period - multiple companies program is set to 010113, which is the beginning of the new fiscal year.  The program is not finding any records with a beginning date of 010113 because the fiscal year has not yet been moved forward.  Instead, use the date that the companies are currently set to, which in this case is 010112.
