Solaris 11.1 high interrupts

I upgraded an older Dell XPS435MT from 11.0 to 11.1 and have a problem.  This system has GDM disabled and does little but provide a command line for a couple folks.  With 11.0, the load pretty much hangs out a 0.00.  With 11.1, it won't go below 0.8 and it's noticeably punchy.  I can find no processes hogging CPU or the 12G of memory and there's negligible disk activity.  However, vmstat shows me that with 11.1 there are 10x more interrupts (over 15000 per sample) versus 11.0.  I don't see this on other systems.  The system has a 1st gen
