new export navigation on planner workbench version 12.1.3.8?

Hi gurus

Testing newer release of planner workbench version 12.1.3.8 noticed new choice on the tools menu drop down ;'export to excel'.    If I choose it I get a FRM-41830: List of Values contains no entries.

what is the meaning of this error and why the new navigation?   The old file export seems intact.  Anyone seen this issue?
