SSD disks running slowly (especially in a ZIL) after upgrading to Solaris 11.1

If you have SSDs and have noticed some major performance issues after upgrading to Solaris 11 update 1 and lines like the following in /var/adm/messages:
Disconnected command timeout for Target XXX

I would encourage you to have a look at Note 1503167.1 which is actually an Alert. It describes how to see if you are hitting the issue and also notes that it has now been addressed as of SRU 3.4 (or later).
