12c OMS and Repository: One Server or Two?

I am looking for feedback on any considerations for implementing 12c on two servers, one for the OMS and one for the Repository (on the same subnet), versus placing the OMS and the Repository on one server.

Obviously, there is resource contention.  Outside of that point, does anyone know of other reasons to install them on separate servers?  I had heard Oracle recommends implementing on separate servers and have not found anything documenting that opinion.
