Difference between Manufacturing Scheduling and Production Scheduling?

Hi - I am looking at the Release Value Proposition anf Release Content Documentation for R12.  In one document it states there are no major changes in Manufacturing Scheduling in R12 and does not reference Production Scheduling.  The othjer document does not reference Manufacturing Scheduling but does list out all the enhancements to Production Scheduling.  Are these the same module?  Is one for Process Manfacturing and one for Discrete?  Help someone!  and my second question is where does Master Scheduling fit into all this?
