Block Corruption in Free extents

Hi Team,

I have identifed block corruption in the system however the corrupted block was a free block.

OWNER        SEGMENT_TYPE       SEGMENT_NAME         PARTITION_NAME  FILE#     CORR_START_BLOCK# CORR_END_BLOCK# BLOCKS_CORRUPTED DESCRIPTION

I believe Oracle will reformat the block before using it and by which the block corruption will be rectified.

Please correct me if i am wrong
