DBA start over again when employee change home company (hint: V06RBT/P06RBT)

Q: How to get the any DBA other the 401K  DBA to recognize the limit when employee transfer from company to another and these companies does not carry the same corporate tax ID?  Currently, if the employee met the DBA annual limit from the previous company and the home company change, the DBA will start to calculate again.

 

A: The P06RBT was changed to allow the transfer of 401k balances by utilizing the IRS defined code of 'D' in DBA setup (F20 window).  Thus when you do the employee transfer from one company to another, the P06RBT presented and asked if you want to transfer the balance.  An enhancement Bug#10863814 was entered back in 2004 to expand this same functionality to other DBAs.    If your system is on A9.1 and above, this functionality existed for you.  Here are the steps you need to set up in order for the P06RBT window to present when transferring employee from company to another to
