Upgrade all databases in parallel
Hi,
We are going to upgrade our RAC database from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.3.5, only the rdbms layer. The GI_HOME is already in 11.2.0.3.5
Our servers are X4470 series with 256 GB RAM and 2 sockets / 6-cores ( In oracle, the CPU_COUNT= 32 )
We have 20 databases to upgrade on the server.
To speed up the upgrade , We intend to lauch simultanously the catupgrd.sql for all the 20 databases.
Do you think it is a good idea ?
How long would you estimate it will take, just an estimate.
We have no JVM in our databases, only: Oracle Database Catalog Views, Oracle Database Packages and Types, Oracle Real Application Clusters
