upgrade RAC dbs from 10,2.0.4 to 11.2.0.3.5 with pinned servers and cluster_interconnects params i

Hi,
We are going to upgrade our RAC database from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.3.5, only the rdbms layer. The GI_HOME is already in 11.2.0.3.5

As our RAC dbs are still in 10.2, we have to work arond some mixed environment issues with the following things:
   1- our rac servers are pinned  and
   2- our db instances are setup with the cluster_interconnects 

Can we leave these setting as is until the end of the upgrade processes and only when all is stable then we:
   1- unpin the cluster servers
   2- unset the cluster_interconnects parameter in the spfile  ?
