oracle 11gr2 on redhat linux enterprise 6.2 64-bit file system recommendation?

hello all,

i would like to install oracle 11.2.0.3 on red hat linux enterprise 6.2 vm. I'm not familiar with linux. Currently our oracle db are installed on windows with following drives:

c: operating system drive

d: oracle home

e: redo log

f: data files

j: for backups.

i would put control files and redo logs to different drives for multiplexing.

Do i need to create multiple mounting points for different drives? Is it a good idea to have multiple mounting points? If not, What would be a good practice in linux to achieve that?
