failed update oracle cluster registry

HI ,
I have a crashed RAC node OS and disk lost ( RAC 10gR2)  , i have managed to geet it up and used the ./addnode.sh to clone CRS_HOME

but when prompted to run root.sh which i did i got the message :

WARNING: directory '/home/oracle/product' is not owned by root
WARNING: directory 'home/oracle' is not owned by root
Checking to see if Oracle CRS stack is already configured
/etc/oracle does not exist. Creating it now.

Setting the permisions on OCR backup directory
Setting up NS directories.
Failed to upgrade Oracle Cluster Registry configuration.

all configurations are similar rights and ownerships ,
