Fiscal Period Column Headings and Row Labels

Can anyone tell me if the user defined code table 83/CH is used to define column headings and row labels for the current fiscal date patterns?  The table on my system is set up with 1 through 14 as the key and January through December, then Period 13 and Period 14 as the results.  We recently changed over to a fiscal period that begins in April and ends in March.  Should we have changed this table to correspond to the new fiscal periods?
