Changing disk from EFI to SMI

Hello all, I am trying to create a mirror of my root/boot zpool disk.

I have changed one of the drives from EFI to SMI with no issue.

I have formatted the drive and the partition reflects SMI partition scheme.

The issue now is this:

zpool attach rpool c0t500151795940B718d0 c0t5000CCA012B73D44d0
cannot label 'c0t5000CCA012B73D44d0': EFI labeled devices are not supported on root pools.

I tried placing this disk in the drive by itself and doing a text install from the dvd but the system boots looking at the network for it's boot information.

Howdy, Stranger!
