DIrect Org transfer Transaction in install base fails

Dear Gurus,
We are performing Direct Org transfer for a serial controlled item in inventory, the Inventory Transaction is successfully processed , where as the corresponding transaction in install base is not getting Successfully completed.

The error message is as follows.

The source item instance 1665297, in Subinventory RAC Tower, for Organization 107 in Oracle Install Base does not exist. Please verify that any receipt transations were successful.

the transaction type is Inter-Org Direct Transfer

Please help.
