AR Distributions Created in Two Periods When Using Immediate Accounting Rule

Experiencing issues on 11.5.9 with Revenue Recognition of items that are assign ed an Immediate accounting rule at month end.  Oracle is creating Unearned Revenue entry ($100) on one period )ie: JAN-13) and the offesetting Unearned Revenue (-$100) and Revenue ($100) entry in the next period (ie: FEB-13).  These should all be in the same period.  This only appears to be happening at month end when orders are shipped late in JAN-13 period, but do not technically do not close until the FEB-13 period.  This is created issues with revenue Recocognition as this is revenue that should be recognized in the JAN-13 period.
