snapshot creation prolonged
I have two storage devices running Solaris 10 with ZFS.I initiated a snapshot creation for a full backup of the currently active device for transfer to the backup which has not had any snapshot updates in a couple weeks.
Currently the snapshot creation is in its fourth day and only at 14 gig.
Previous full backup snapshot size is 206 gig.
Snapshot creation initiated with "zfs snapshot zpoolname@date"
Should approx. 1.2 T of data take this long to create a snapshot?
Are there options which could expedite the full replication?
Is there a safe method to terminate the current snapshot creation process?
